Die Stal is a rustic, quaint, cute but comfortable, small 2-roomed stand-alone self-catering cottage built on the banks of the beautiful Breede River. Only 5 kms from Bonnievale (on the farm Klein Driefontein) and 180 km from Cape Town. French doors lead onto a large wooden deck which provides breathtaking views that can only be described as “to die for”. Farmlands, trees and shrubbery are in abundance, and you will love our great variety of birds. Escape to a never to be forgotten experience of utter peace and tranquillity.
 
     
 
Accommodation
 
 
 

Accommodation consists of a large bedroom with double bed, TV (TV1,2,3 and ETV only), large (en-suite) bathroom (shower), toilet, hand-basin. The 2nd (smaller) room has 2 single beds plus a kitchenette consisting of 2-plate stove with small oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc.

All linen, cutlery, crockery provided. Bring your own towels for river swimming (at own risk.), and fishing gear. A two-man canoe
is available.

Just a few steps down from your entrance door and you are on the river banks with a large paved sheltered braai area nestling under the trees.

We provide a large braai drum, benches, tables, tongs & braai
grid; wood is available on site at a nominal price.

Well-lit it’s almost a fairyland at night.

Things to Do
 
You can go fishing, bird-watch, swim, take a walk, explore the farm, or travel to numerous cellars in the area and enjoy fantastic wine-tasting in the Robertson Wine Valley.
 
Local Shops
 
The shops in Bonnievale will supply your daily needs :
supermarkets, Absa bank with ATM, butchery (meat is excellent), chemist, several coffee shops, art gallery, small museum, antique shops, two pubs, a golf course, a bowling green, and a few good places to eat.
 
Bonus
 
The beautiful historic towns of Robertson, Montagu, Swellendam, Ashton and McGregor are a short drive away.
